Two Mares

A month or so later, Belle has gone to a new home.
Which is a little sad, but it’s also good. I know it’s a good home, with 8 acres of pasture for her to roam about.

The mares have had their summer coats come in in the last week or so and they are looking lovely and glossy. I found it interesting when Kate showed photos of the horses coats, so I’ve pinched her idea.

This morning, the rest of the tyres for my arena arrived. I set them up and later on, I groomed and saddled Emma. After a bit of fiddling around, I also got the bridle on her and adjusted so it was comfortable.

Belle is looking better again too. She’s not nearly as ribby (yes, I am still jumping around the property going ‘NO RIBS!’ at random intervals) and her summer coat is coming in nicely. She isn’t shedding quite as fast as Emma, but I bet by the end of the week their winter coats will be [...]

I woke up this morning and took a good hard look at Belle and I can barely see her ribs! I am so so thrilled.
